Daddy's Got Cancer

My Dad, Tom Hardeman, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that matastasized to the liver on Feb. 6, 2006. It sent a shock wave through the many people who love him around the country and even some places abroad. We are starting this blog to keep all those who are praying so earnestly for his healing and recovery. I will try to keep everyone updated on his treatment and progress. Dad is one of the most generous, giving and loving man I have come in contact with. He has lived his life to serve God and done it with an infectious enthusiasm and joy. The people he has come into contact with at church, working for UPS, charitable work and even going to Costco have all been deeply impacted. For all of you who love him and are praying, thank you so much from the whole family. Please feel free to post blogs, encouragements and prayers. Dad will be checking regularly. We know God is able to heal Dad. But following the example of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, even if we go into the fire, we will serve Him.(Daniel 3:16-18).

Dad, I don't need to put in a "blog" what you mean to me...but you are the most wonderful and amazing father any son could ever ask for! These are for you:

Psalm 20:4-5 "May He give you the desire of your heart, and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.

All of Psalm 91! In particular, verse 14 "'Because he loves me,' says the Lord, 'I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name."

Psalm 118:17 "I will NOT die BUT live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
I love you Dad!

Tom,
Words cannot express our love and admiration for you and your entire family that lydia and i have experienced over the many many years!!! We know you are in God's hands today, just as you have always been. You have lived I Cor. 13:1-13. Expecially fitting is vs. 3, If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. LOVE is the Very core Characteristic of GOD!!!!
We keep you and Eileen in our prayers daily.
love,
lydia and butch

Yesterday as I walked to the Communion table to serve in the 3rd service at our church the Lord spoke to my heart ... this is not a memorial ... this is a Celebration. And what strange emblems for a celebration ... blood and a broken body. THAT is just like our God ... He takes the worst satan can throw against us and makes them symbols of His triumph and victory in and for us. No wonder Paul said "God forbid that I should glory, except in the electric chai ... (I mean) cross." Tom, this morning as we were praying for you, I felt "That is for Tom." The worst satan can throw at you will become a symbol of celebration for Jesus Christ's triumph and victory in your healing! Love you, Ken and Bobbi

Tom & Eileen,
Richard and I first met you at BT when the elders and others annointed your head with oil and we all gathered around you, cried and prayed for your recovery. Please know we are still praying for your complete recovery. We know you are in the capable and loving hands of Jesus and He is able to carry you while you submit to His will and wait for His healing using doctors and His healing powers. We look forward to seeing your progress.

Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven" We two are agreeing and think of the power of multipication! We agree with all those other great promises too. We are so blessed by you both. Be blessed in Jesus' Name.

Tom and Eileen,

Ron and I are praying for you everyday and want you to know how much we care and love you. This is a question that the Lord asked Moses in Numbers 11:23 "Is there any limit to my power?" and the resounding answer in NO, there is no limit to God's power to take care of us to heal us and to do mighty things in us, for us and through us.

HELLO EILEEN
KIM RAGSAC SENT ME THIS EMAIL, SHE ASK ME TO SHARE OUR TESTIMONY ABOUT MY HUSBAND SAM LEE. HE HAD CANCER IN THE LIVER. HEALED 99% IF I LEARN ANY THING THOUGH THAT IT WAS TO PRAY AND PROCLAIM GODS WORDS. I'LL SHARE A LITTLE STORY. THE FIRST DAY SAM WAS SURPOSE TO HAVE HIS CHEMO I WOKE UP THAT MORNING AND SAW HIM, IN THE BATH TUB SAD, HE DIDN'T KNOW I WAS LOOKING AT HIM. WHEN HE SAW ME, HE SAID I HATE FRIDAYS!! I THOUGHT OH GREAT, WALKEDIN THE KITCHEN AND I SAW ALL HIS MEDICINE ON THE TABLE. I THOUGHT TO MY SELF WE HAVE HEARD SO MUCH INFORMATION FROM DOCTORS, POEPLE ON OUR BLOCK, FRIENDS,FAMILY, ETC..I WAS OVERWHELMED I STARTED PRAYING AND GOT SOME OIL AND LAYED MY HANDS ON ALL HIS MEDICINE, AND STARTED PROCLAIMING! FATHER-WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD,WE DO NOT HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THE WORLD SUFFERS SO I ASK WHERE THERE IS FEAR, LET THERE BE LOVE. WHEN SAM IS WEAK YOU BE STRONG, ETC... I KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL ALL MY FEARS LEFT AND THAT NIGHT SAM HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS, PLUS FINISH 6 MONTHS OF CHEMO EVERY FRIDAY. I WILL PRAY THAT GOD WILL TEACH YOU ALL A NEW WAY TO PRAY. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HELP. LOVE GLORIA LEE
